Our Mission

Our mission is to provide accessible, effective & fun programs to teach vital skills that promote Mental Wellness for children, youth and their families! Ultimately we aim to help reduce the current rates of children & youth experiencing Mental Health Challenges since the Pandemic.

Our Team

We have a unique and dynamic clinical team of professionals to support the children, youth and families we work with!

Our clinical team consists of Registered Behaviour Analysts, Registered Social Workers and child and youth therapists to provide a unique approach to services. Our therapists prioritize building connections with their clients, and making every session fun and engaging for a balanced approach to therapy!

What is Mental Wellness?

Mental Wellness is achieved by feeling balanced, connected with others, and ready to meet the challenges life brings our way! There are many interconnected factors that influence our mental wellness that are evidence-based, such as:

  • Social connectedness and interacting with others

  • Exercising regularly and staying active

  • Eating healthy, getting quality sleep

  • Expressing feelings and emotions effectively

  • Practicing mindfulness, positive self-talk, and learning to be present in the moment.

  • Learning coping strategies to manage & accept difficult thoughts, feelings and emotions when difficult situations arise.

We believe that developing mental wellness and maintaining our mental health requires learning the vital skills that our programs offer!

Proactivity vs Reactivity

Life is beautiful, but as we grow up, it is not always easy! Our programs aim to teach youth Social Emotional Learning Skills (SELs), mindfulness, self compassion and other vital skills to prepare them to face life and all it may bring their way. These skills help them develop resilience, strengthen their mental wellness and ultimately raise strong minds that are ready to take on the world!

Let’s be Pro-active not Re-Active!

If you knew that one day your child was likely to be placed at the top of a dangerous mountain and tasked with skiing down, don’t you think they would have a greater chance of making it down safely if they already had the skills they needed and knew how to ski? If they attempted this mountain without prior training or experience, they would likely get hurt on their way down, it would take much longer, and they may even be left with injuries, permanent scars or never return form the mountain.

This mountain reflects the challenges our children may face in life. If we know life will have challenges, let’s be proactive and teach our kids the vital skills they need to be successful first! This way, if they find themselves at the top of a mountain one day, they will have the skills they need to navigate these challenges successfully!
