We are now offering some exciting in-School Group programs throughout the school year!

  • Wellness based Enrichment Groups

  • We also offer workshops and other unique wellness events for staff and/or students.

  • We also do provide 1:1 support in school.

In-School Group Programs

  • What are social-emotional therapy groups?

    We use evidence based strategies combined with fun and interactive activities to teach a variety of vital skills:

    • Self awareness.

    • Friendship Skills.

    • Responsible Decision Making.

    • Emotional Regulation and anxiety.

    • Understanding our thoughts, emotions and actions.

    • Coping strategies

    • Treating others with kindness and compassion.

    • Self esteem and confidence.

    • Mindfulness and meditation.

  • What are social skills groups?

    Our social skills groups provide additional social skills support for students. We teach a variety of vital skills during our groups, including but not limited to:

    • Sharing and/or Turn taking

    • Compromise

    • Collaborative problem solving

    • Team work

    • Friendship skills

    • Conversation and understanding social ques

    • Playing social games

    • Social awareness

    • Good sportsmanship

    • Kindness and empathy for others

    • Perspective taking

    • and other individualized skills!

    Who is this program for?

    Any children that may be struggling with social skills would benefit from this program, however children with Autism, ADHD, or other exceptionalities may benefit the most from this group.

  • What are wellness based enrichment programs?

    These programs are more recreational based then our therapy based programs, we can host a variety of fun events to promote wellness such as:

    • Kids yoga and meditation classes

    • Music or Art based Classes

    • Experiments

    • Large scale scavenger hunts or games

    • and more!

  • What workshops or other events can we offer?

    Educational workshops for students

    • Learning about differences and acceptance of others.

    • Workshops for kids about Autism, ADHD and other exceptionalities.

    • Workshops for staff about supporting neurodiverse learners, Mindfulness or making learning fun!

Program Duration:

  • Our in-school groups are 30-45 minutes depending on age of the group and the schools needs.

  • Groups take place 1-2 times per week depending on interest.

  • Our team will be on site for an additional 15 mins for setup and cleanup.

  • Our group programs run alongside the school year, and will require a half term (6 week) or full term (12-15 week) commitment per term.

    Term 1: September - December

    Term 2: January - March

    Term 3: April - June

Program Structure

  • During each session, we have a general theme (i.e. Self esteem and confidence).

  • The program is broken down into 15 minute blocks. Each 15 minute block we have an activity to teach the skills related to the theme of the day, using evidence based strategies taught through fun activities!

  • We love to teach through fun mediums such as: Games, experiments, art, music, dance, drama and more!

  • Activities Vary by age groups and interest.

Grades:

  • Kindergarten

  • Primary: gr 1-3

  • Junior: gr 4-6

  • Senior: gr 7-8

  • Highschool

Specialized and Individualized Programs

We offer specialized programs for Girls entering puberty (and other girl challenges) as well as high school preparation. If you have a particular area of interest, let us know and we can develop a specialized program to meet the needs of your students!

Where does the program take place?

  • We will come to your school!

  • We are happy to run our program within a classroom, or gymnasium provided within your school.

  • Inquire today to tell us about where your school is located and we will do our best to accommodate your location. Schools outside our service area may require a travel fee.

Cost

  • Our services are delivered by Registered Social workers, or Registered Behaviour Analysts and may be eligible under extended health benefits, or the Ontario Autism Program Funding.

Evidence-Based Foundation of the Program

This is not your traditional talk therapy or psychotherapy program!
This program is rooted heavily in an evidence-based, “third wave” Behaviour Analytic therapy called “Acceptance & Commitment Therapy” or ACT. Rooted in ACT, our curriculum uses a variety of strategies from Positive Psychology and Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) to teach children Social Emotional Learning skills, Mindfulness & Self Compassion Skills - Vital skills to protect your child’s Mental Health & build Mental Wellness!
