Pathfinders for Teens & Young Adults
What is Pathfinders?
Pathfinders is a specialized group program for teens 16+ and young adults with ASD, ADHD or other learning exceptionalities to make friends and develop the essential skills for transitioning into adulthood. During the pathfinders programs participants will explore self awareness, executive functioning, leadership and life skills all while making friends in a low pressure setting.

Evidence-Based Foundation of the Program
This program is rooted in evidence based strategies from Positive Psychology and Applied Behavioural Sciences. The program uses Learning Theory and Behavioural Skills Training to teach a variety of Executive Functioning skills and Abstract Reasoning skills! These vital skills will help equip youth with the skills and mindset they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Teens and young adults age 16+ that would benefit from help transitioning into adulthood.
Participants must be able to attend the program independently within a group context.
Learners with ASD, ADHD, leaning disabilities or other disabilities welcome!

The Program is Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:30pm from July 2nd - Aug 29th (9 weeks)

Sessions will be hosted at Willow Tree Mind & Wellness Centre
1434 Kingston Rd.

Our program is a combination of fun social activities and learning the course content to ensure the environment is not too “heavy”.
Upon arrival participants will have time to engage in a social game to break the ice such as giant Jenga.
The therapists will then introduce the theme of the day and overview the lesson.
Activities are broken down into 15min chunks with movement breaks as needed.
Rotating between lesson content, practical application exercises and movement/social breaks
Some sessions may also include outings in the community to practice skills.

Our Group Therapy rate is $55 an hour.
Sessions are 90 minutes or $82.
per session
The 9 week program cost: $742.50

We accept Ontario Autism Program (OAP) funding!
Extended health benefits may apply under Registered Social Worker (RSW).
